Solara: Pain Forecast · Effective date: September 14, 2026
This policy describes how Solara ("the app", "we") handles your information. Solara is a Hazard Studio app, operated by Vitali Mikhailouski (individual developer). We build Solara to work with as little personal data as possible.
Your birth date, interests, daily check-ins, and preference settings are stored locally on your device and are used to personalize your daily reading (biorhythm cycles, insights). They are not uploaded to our servers.
With your permission, the app uses your device location to request weather, air-quality and geomagnetic data for your area. Coordinates are sent to weather data providers (Open-Meteo, NOAA) solely to retrieve forecasts and are not stored by us. You can deny location access and the app will use a default city.
If you grant access to Apple Health, the app reads only the categories you approve — sleep, steps, heart rate, heart rate variability and, on iOS 18 and later, State of Mind entries — and attaches them to your daily log on your device. The app does not write to Apple Health. Health data is processed on your device, is never uploaded to our servers, and is never used for advertising, analytics, or shared with third parties. You can revoke access anytime in iOS Settings.
Subscriptions and one-time purchases are processed by Apple through your App Store account. We do not receive your payment details. Purchase status (which plan is active, trial and renewal dates) is processed by our subscription-management provider, Adapty, to unlock features, prevent fraud and measure subscription performance. It is tied to a random identifier, not to your name.
To understand how the app is used and improve it, we collect anonymized usage events (screens viewed, features used, onboarding steps) and basic device information (model, OS version, language) through Mixpanel. Quiz answers are sent only as categories (for example "sleep" as a goal); free-text answers are never sent. This data is tied to a random identifier generated on your device, not to your name, email or contacts.
If the app crashes, a crash report (the technical stack trace, app version, device model and OS version) is sent to Sentry so we can find and fix the bug. It is tied to the same random identifier as analytics, never to your name or contacts, and contains no health data, location or free-text answers. For sessions with an error (and a small sample of other sessions) Sentry also records a replay of the screens with all text and images masked, so we can see which screen and which tap led to a problem; masked replays show layout only, not your content.
Solara does not track you across other companies' apps or websites, does not use the advertising identifier (IDFA), and shows no App Tracking Transparency prompt. If you install the app from one of our ads, the campaign that brought the install may be recorded at the campaign level; this is not linked to your identity.
With your permission, the app schedules local notifications (morning forecast, evening check-in). You can disable them anytime in Settings.
Pages on hazard.studio, including the pre-launch quiz at hazard.studio/try/solara, use the Meta Pixel to measure whether our ads work (page views, quiz starts, sign-ups). The Pixel sets cookies and reads the click identifier Meta adds to ad links; Meta processes this under its own privacy policy, and you can limit it in your Meta ad settings or with a content blocker. The quiz keeps your answers in your browser and sends anonymized usage events to Mixpanel under a random identifier, the same way the app does.
If you leave your email on the pre-launch waitlist, we store it with your quiz variant to send one message when the app is available. It is not sold, not used for newsletters, and can be deleted on request via the contact below.
Solara is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
Solara provides wellness and lifestyle content for informational and entertainment purposes only. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
We may update this policy; the current version is always available at this page. Material changes will be reflected by the effective date above.
